The given property has an area of 126m2, with the common parts being on the ground floor. You enter the property through an entrance hall that opens onto the kitchen. The front and rear spaces are separated by the stairwell, which is located centrally in the house and provides a pleasant experience of the living spaces because of the zenithal light. The first floor was divided into three bedrooms and a bathroom currently shared by the whole family. The property has a cosy urban garden at the back that connects with the neighbours, as well as a terrace on the first floor. It faces south on the rear façade, allowing them to use and enjoy their various outdoor spots during the summer months.

In our proposal, we set out to redefine the kitchen and dining area on the ground floor. In an initial proposal, we centrally placed a piece of furniture with a kitchen island along one side and a bench along the other. Thus, at the table you either have a view of the garden or a view of the kitchen and the inner garden of the Zuidervelodroom. We design the first floor for the children. The layout of the wet rooms will be optimised and the rooms will be adapted and redistributed.  The second floor becomes the place for the parents. The bathroom divides the floor into two parts. The relaxation area is located at the front facade and sleeping is done in the back room of the house.
