Between nature and culture

We created a scenography to exhibit the work of the  students from the Architecture Bachelor’s programme at the University of Antwerp.

For the first phase of their assignment, the first-year students observed and analysed a selection of plants from the Plantenpaleis. In a second step – the conceptualisation – they investigated which characteristics of the plants could be traced to an idea or concept that could form the basis for their design. In a final phase, a pavilion design was realised with this structural insight, taking into account the possibilities and limitations in the field of construction.
